Big and complex oxygen plants include numerous measuring points such as the high-temperature oxygen lines and headers with temperatures of ~ 250 °F. These points need to be monitored. Installing a traditional metering system would require a downstream factory shutdown, so with high costs and long execution timing, combined with its critical impact on the whole ecosystem, this doesn't present a feasible option."

The Flexim FLUXUS ST measures steam flow non-intrusively from the outside of the pipe, the portable acoustic measuring method proves to be impressive with its exceptionally high measuring dynamics, high sensitivity at very low flow velocities and independence to flow direction. Due to this large flow range (flow velocities up to 200ft/s), there is no need to reduce pipe diameter to fit an inline meter’s requirement of minimum flow velocity. Moreover, the non-intrusive measurement does not cause any pressure loss. The transducer mounts can be completely insulated to reduce any heat loss to the environment. FLUXUS ST has no moving parts. Therefore, FLUXUS ST is not subject to wear and tear and does not require any maintenance.

The FLUXUS G736 gas flow meter combines precision digital signal processing with the well-known advantages of non-intrusive ultrasonic technology: ease of installation, retrofittable design, high accuracy, and outstanding performance. With 4 ultrasonic transducers operating in reflect mode, 8 independent ultrasonic paths traverse the gaseous medium providing superior flow averaging of up to 4 planes of the pipe section. With this configuration, the G736 flow meter averages out crossflow profile effects and achieves optimum non-intrusive flow compensation for undesirable installation locations where insufficient upstream straight pipe proximity to bends, elbows or other adjacent instrumentation creates flow disturbances.
